Description
Cornell’s ERC10 and ERC11 fire-rated counter shutters protect service openings — counters, service windows, pass-throughs — with the most compact footprint in their category according to Cornell. In case of fire, the shutter closes automatically to seal the opening.
ERC10 or ERC11: what is the difference?
- ERC10: the standard fire-rated counter shutter — protection against the spread of fire.
- ERC11 — with SmokeShield®: the same shutter, additionally equipped with the integrated SmokeShield gasket system, “S” labeled and compliant with UL 1784, which also limits smoke migration.
The choice depends on the code requirement for the opening: fire rating only (ERC10) or fire and smoke with “S” label (ERC11).
