Wayne Dalton’s FireStar® 700C is an insulated rolling fire door: it combines the certified fire protection of a steel fire door with the thermal comfort of an insulated door for everyday use.
What sets the 700C apart
Unlike the standard 700 model, the 700C features non-combustible mineral wool insulation (flame spread and smoke development index: 0) providing an R-5 insulation value. Note: the insulation improves everyday comfort and energy efficiency — the fire-resistance rating comes from the certified steel construction.
Applications
Fire walls in plants and warehouses, loading docks, parking garages, mechanical rooms — anywhere the opening requires both a fire rating and everyday thermal or acoustic control.

- Class A rating up to 4 hours (UL/ULC) and up to 3 hours (FM), depending on the wall, jambs and mounting; NFPA 80 compliant
- Sizes up to 24 ft wide or 24 ft high (maximum 324 sq ft)
- 3-in. insulated flat slats (profile No. 34) — 22-gauge galvanized steel front, 24-gauge back, mineral wool core
- Auto-resetting closing mechanism, factory-tested to 20,000 cycles — the drop test and reset can be performed at any time, by anyone
- Automatic closing in case of fire; compatible with alarm-triggered release
