Description
Wayne Dalton’s FireStar® 540 and 550 fire-rated counter shutters combine a clean appearance with certified fire protection for service openings. Their exclusive design allows the drop test and reset to be done in seconds, without tools and without a technician.
540 or 550: what is the difference?
- Model 540: curtain, bottom bar and hood in 22-gauge galvanized steel, primed and painted — the standard choice, available in several colours and about 200 powder-coat finishes.
- Model 550: the same components in 22-gauge stainless steel, No. 4 finish — for environments that require stainless: commercial kitchens, hospitals, food processing.
The mechanics and ratings are identical; the choice comes down to material and finish.
